Hearts and Hands

Hearts & Hands is an all-volunteer cooperative ministry of the Arlington Churches of Christ.  We provide more than 20,000 individual services to each year.  Our goal is to provide a tangible expression of the faith that is within us, in His name and for His glory, by providing food and clothing to needy Arlington-area families.

Hearts & Hands is located on the north side of the North Davis Church of Christ parking lot.  Clients use the West door.

Please do not go to the main church building.

 

     Those with need for food or clothing must come to the Hearts & Hands building between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. Monday through Friday to complete the necessary paperwork.  It is best to arrive early, because a limited number of vouchers can be issued each day.

 

Food and clothing distribution is from 1 – 2:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 10 – 11:30 a.m. on Saturday.  

 

To receive a voucher for services, clients should bring the following items:

 

          ♥        Proof of residency.  This can be a utility bill, rental receipt, or another dated document that shows the client’s name and current address. To qualify, clients must live in Arlington, in the Tarrant County portion of Grand Prairie, or in Mansfield ZIP 76063.

 

          ♥        Proof of identity for every person in the household, including children.  This can be a Texas Driver’s License, a Texas Identification Card, a Social Security Card, official identification from another state or country, a passport, or a birth certificate.

 

          ♥        Verification of income for the last 30 days.  This includes paycheck stubs, disability or Social Security award letters, child support, workman’s compensation, a letter from the food stamp office, or documentation of any other household income.  Clients should show that they have applied for food stamps.  Food Stamp application forms are available at the Hearts & Hands office.
